Colorado Laser Treatments noticed that many of our new clients had scars either from their original tattoo or from other removal treatments providers. This motivated us to find the best methods and equipment to provide skin resurfacing treatments. After much research, we concluded that superior results were achieved by use of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) lasers. These lasers perform fractional ablation which stimulates new collagen production. How does skin resurfacing work? CO2 laser resurfacing creates thousands of micro incisions on the top layer of the skin. This is referred to as “fractional ablation”. There is little discomfort involved. The fractionally ablated skin exfoliates and is replaced by tissue that is collagen rich and smoother than the tissue it replaced.
